General Manager Larry Weis joined Austin Energy in September 2010. Weis has 30 years experience in the electric and water utility industries, and more specifically, publicly-owned utilities.
Weis came to Austin Energy after spending 10 years as General Manager at California’s Turlock Irrigation District (TID). Weis was General Manager of the Pend Oreille Public Utility District (PUD) from 1990-2000 and began his career in 1981 at Snohomish PUD in northwest Washington State.
