Monique Jones

Monique Jones is a Senior Undergraduate at Texas State University pursuing her bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Computer Engineering. She has received multiple awards while competing in local Hackathons and has played a major role as one of the main programmers and team collaborators in the local Texas State IEEE chapter of Robotics. A former member of the HLSAMP she has done volunteer work, tutored, and mentored other students. Her current job has exposed her to the semiconductor field and now she is working with thermoelectric which has inspired her interest in renewable energies. Her passions are programming, implementing databases, and interfacing hardware with software.  When she’s not vigorously studying, she is either going to the gym to lift weights, out to some of the local eateries with friends or hiking.
