Luciano Alakija received his B.E degree in Electrical Engineering from State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) – Brazil, followed by MSc. degree in Optical Fiber Communications and Photonic Technologies from Politecnico di Torino – Italy, having developed his graduation project on photonic crystals nanotechnology at The University of Glasgow – UK. He is also an Executive MBA from Insper in Brazil with international module carried at The University of Virginia, Darden School Of Business – USA.
Mr. Alakija is currently heading the Business Development activities for m2m/ IoT solutions at Telefonica Brazil. He has been working on the Machine to Machine and Internet of Things value chain since 2003. His experience ranges from applied R&D at CPqD, mobile and m2m terminals development at Siemens/Cinterion/Gemalto, embedded antennas at Ethertronics Inc. and fixed-mobile networks at Siemens and Telefónica. Luciano is an enthusiast about high technological products and innovative services used to create value, business and environmental sustainability, improve business efficiency and generate positive impact on people lives.
