John Allen is the director of physical security for Iberdrola USA. In this role, Mr. Allen is responsible for security operations, security systems and fire protections systems at Iberdrola USA facilities in New York and New England, which provide electricity generation, transmission & distribution, and natural gas distribution. Prior to his current role Mr. Allen was the director of NERC compliance for Iberdrola USA, providing compliance oversight for three operating companies. His experience with cyber and physical security under the NERC CIP standards led to his current position.
Mr. Allen holds a master’s of science degree in Environmental Management from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry; and a bachelor’s of science degree in chemical engineering from Bucknell University.
