Don J. Clevenger

Senior Vice President | Strategic Planning Oncor Electric Delivery

Don is a 1995 graduate from Southern Methodist University Dedman
School of Law with a bachelor’s degree from Abilene Christian
University. As a partner, Mr. Clevenger represented TXU for Hunton & Williams for almost nine years before coming to TXU in April, 2004 as Senior Counsel of Business Services. He worked on many crucial Company decisions and projects, including the Company’s venture into foreign markets electric and competitive businesses.

In November 2005, Mr. Clevenger assumed the position of Senior Counsel with TXU Electric Delivery with corporate and commercial legal responsibilities.

In 2007, Mr. Clevenger was named Vice President and Corporate Secretary. In this position he led the Company’s internal legal group, taking care of strategic and day-to-day legal needs of Oncor Electric Delivery.

In June 2008, Mr. Clevenger became Vice President, External Affairs. As the new leader of the External Affairs organization, Mr. Clevenger is responsible for the legislative and regulatory affairs of the Company including interacting with state and federal lawmakers and the Public Utility Commission of Texas and other regulatory agencies. In February, 2010, Mr. Clevenger was elected Senior Vice President.

In January, 2013, Mr. Clevenger became head of the new Strategic Planning group responsible for Oncor’s IT, Risk Management, Asset Investment and Strategy & Technology functions. Additionally, the Strategic Planning group will work with the other functional units in Oncor to evaluate market trends, best practices and innovative ways to keep the Company an industry leader from technology deployment, to regulatory frameworks and incentives to investment strategies and acquisitions.

Mr. Clevenger is a member of both the Texas Bar Association and the Dallas Bar Association. He is a member of the board of trustees of Paul Quinn College, a member of WIRES, Advisory Council Member of the University of Texas Environmental Science Institute and is an active deacon at his church.

Mr. Clevenger and his wife Jolie have three children, William, Luke and Joshua.
